In its 7th year, the Houston Greek Film Festival (HGFF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that showcases new films from Greek and Cypriot filmmakers, producers and actors from Greece, Cyprus and the diaspora. Featuring both feature-length and shorts, the HGFF aims to promote Greek cinema to Houston and all of Texas and the Southwest! The 2024 HGFF will be December 5-8, 2024!

During the week of the 2022 HGFF, our team was honored by the Consul General of Greece in Houston, the Hon. Lambros Kakissis, with a grant from his office through the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This grant - tirelessly championed by Mr. Kakissis - will be used to grow the Houston Greek Film Festival in both breath and scope and to increase awareness and opportunity in Houston and the Gulf Coast Region.
The HGFF Team sincerely thanks Mr. Kakissis and the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their continual support and involvement for the establishment of this grant to help propel the HGFF into a significant growth trajectory!
